Understand that these are CY council workers who haven't been paid for 3 months. Is this right...???

That is right they have not been paid so they are protesting, the current Mayor has spent all the cash on new projects and the council building. he is asking the government to bail him out but they want him to resign which he wont so its fireworks.

Also can VP tell us if the heaps of garbage have been cleared in occupied Nicosia. And if there is any substance to the allegations that the reason the "municipality" is unable to pay its workers is that Eroglu used Turkish "loans" to the "municipality" to pay for his campaign for the last "presidential elections".

The garbage is being cleaned up gradually as for the claims of misspending government funds, well welcome to what goes on all over the world.
