For Bananiot and his mates

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Okay dear, but may I remind you that one Adolf Hitler was democratically elected too? Is it okay if I compare this confirmed fascist with our democratically elected fascists? Do you really believe that I have anything to do with the extreme right either in the south or the north, geographically speaking, of course.

Sweetie, I never said you had anything to do with the extremes, just as neither do I, my dear. But you only bring up extremist Turkish groups to you use them (erroneously) as a comparative paradigm to what you oppose from Greeks.

Are you now comparing the 'democratic' system of pre-war Germany, which allowed Hitler to come to power in government, with the democratic system of present day Greece that has elected a few representaitves in the parliament so that voices of dissent can be heard?

My dearest Bananiot, the only reason the Grey Wolves were set up (no votes) was to destroy people, democracies and the lawful order of things. They have no other reason for 'being'. Like you, sweetie, I would not vote for GD; but I respect their right to exist and be heard (especially on the fact that not enough has been done to protect the Greek population from the masses of illegal imigrants which roam the towns and cities of Greece). How can tackling illegal immigrants in order to protect the native population be compared to the Grey Wolves who 'tackle' the rightful natives of a country to oust them from their homes?

The fact these comparisons even enter your mind are unfavorably reflective when added to your other views, for example, on why innocent GCs need to give up their properties for evermore to Turkey because at one time some TCs were killed during conflicts. To compare the Grey Wolves, even with Hitler, is to give them more worth than these modern day killing machines (still operative) deserve, surely, my dear?

In the interest of good sportsmanship and for what it's worth Bananiot, I do to apologise to you for remarks made to you in the past, but I'm sorry I cannot accept many of the concepts you put forward.

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

Adios

I have no problem with that B25. There is nothing wrong with disagreeing with someone and I do believe that we all have the good of Cyprus at heart. It is on how we go about it that we differ.

I think I accused you of fighting with ghosts around you, when you were calling everybody a fascist, a bigot etc.....
Happy now B25, I just replied to my alter ego.

Seriously pyrpolyser, wasn't the bigots who brought us all these problems? From both communities, of course.

No. Every country has bigots but they don't have such problems. Our problem is the Turkish expansionism. Stop trying to excuse their crimes against Cyprus!

Of course every country has bigots. In the UK, for example, when I was living there, the National Front commanded a fraction of the popular vote. In Cyprus of the 60"s, however, the bigots ruled. They were the government and it is their action that brought Turkey to Cyprus or gave Turkey the pretext, if you wish. I hope you see the difference, for identifying correctly a problem gets you half way to dealing with it. I did not say solve it, for in politics there are no solutions but options.
