Not surprised mate. Of the view that these CarpetBuggers are Spineless Jellyfish when it comes to turning up in person, all talk on FB and elsewhere and no flipping action.

but a poor turn out..........

:D

Excellent news, the best poss outcome, frigging marvellous... the anguish for the CarpetSquatters goes on and the destruction of what little is left of the "property market" in the Occupied Areas continues... and a poor turnout to boot, get's better and better.

It is rather selfish knowing from Friday that the auction will not take place and not telling anyone!!!

Not really surprising there was such a low turn-out, probably a lot less next time.

It is pathetic that the well known schizophrenic Pauline Read/Polly Marples/Pandora S Box (and whoever else is in there) is trying to justify putting people to a lot of trouble to attend a non-event yesterday, mainly by commenting on her own article!

Yes indeed, this senile old fool (as milti used to call her), is trying to drum up support for her own stealing, carpetbagger activities. She is the lowest of the low, an old hag who has disgraced this country by her mere presence. Pauline, and I know you are reading this, just FO back to whence you came and shivel up and die.
It is because of theives like you that the Cyprus problem has been prolonged, your support for the illegal occupation regime has made them think they can go it alone, wrong. may you lose all that you put in and much much more.
If I were in a suitabe financial position, I'd have bought that site and turned it into a pig sty, you would be more at home there.

There is a glut of holiday properties in Spain, over 300 000 dwelling are unsold. Nearer to the UK, no title problems, cheaper too. So why would anyone sink more money into real property anywhere in the Med at this time!!!

Aint life a MF!

Because there are many lazy bums, aka developers et al., who take advantage of corrupted politicians to make an easy profit.

Cyprus should move towards a more self-sufficient economy, by increasing production and exports, and subsequently decreasing imports. If you pay a visit to a local supermarket you will encounter hundreds of imported food products, like beer, cheese, biscuits, fruits, etc. We even import wine from Spain and olive oil from Greece!

yes but you have to get the Cypriot producers to meet the quality/price of the foreign products not just here in Cyprus but overseas: no one for example in the UK will pay say £5 for a bottle of Cypriot wine if they can get say a wine from Spain of better quality at the same price or of similar quality for say £4.
