pssst Go out !!!!

Go bowling and play with a team and talk to them (you make friends by talking to ppl while in a good mood !! )

Go for coffee and dont be shy if you see someone around your age they will not eat you just talk to them and tell them you are new here and I am sure they would offer to even show you around!!!)

(go to the beach and talk to people )

see the key point here is not hunt friends down but making them and mark making them with a massive red line!!!!!

I kinds feel bad for you cause i keep seeing your posts every where and it means you are failing in making friends and there is nothing easier than that or harder than to be lonely..

Well, if it happen and you are in Paphos ill introduce you to people but you are far and you are on your way so have the guts and go out there do/get what you want and if friends makes you happy nothing will stop you MAKE YOUR FRIENDS

I am tired of people who will talk to you at the party but who have something better to do the rest of the time.
But I guess anything more is too much to ask from them.

I will add one more points on top of what Fig mentioned

Find people with common interest so that you can be part of that "something better" andJoin any of club or activity place.

No one will be your friend just because you want them to be (Unless you pay per drink or per hour basis so better try to understand which skill sets you lack and find a way to overcome it. BTW, you will not find readymade friends , friendhship like all other human relationship developed over time.

BTW, Larnaca is not that far from Nicosia so why not drive down to Larnaca and have fun with your friends there or invite them to Nicosia.

No one will want to know you ("like all other human relationships developed over time") for who you are in your heart (chemistry/aura/character/connection?), but rather just for what you are, like the existence of a common interest or hobby element, and while it is there?
As I said, while at the meeting/club/party/society it's all good, the rest of the time who needs us?
Where are those clubs/activities?
So do not look for penfriends online, like people asked at http://www.windowoncyprus.com/penfriend_in_cyprus.htm ?
I am sorry, I still am not aware which planet I am from.
It is certainly not easy, good luck to me.
Family is the most important thing.
A real friend is the family we choose to have, like a brother.
If not, such is life I guess.
