...i don't doubt that our readership is wider than the members who actively write, Cap; not necessarily writing, for them, but i don't forget that this is who reads (who will read) this stuff for a wide array of reasons (when and if Turkey evolves).

...personally, i am rooting for Erdogan, that he gets an epiphany to follow, and that his brilliance with such a change of intentions makes him, his Legacy, a celebration in Cyprus, like it would be done across the Eastern Mediterranean; the likeliness, let's see (i am not counting on it). But, without this possibility, here we are, watching and waiting, what will become of Turkey, what with the way things are, what is, and what is to hope for, because he can Free Cypriots.

the trouble is you asshole it is nothing of the kind. terggy is getting stronger now that syria and iraq is in a mess. they have a good relationship with iran and usa and now israel too. so you keep on believing that terggy will be destroyed. if it makes you feel better. you swallowed all the other myths so one more cant do you no harm right.

I have on many posts made my feelings known about Turkey so I will not bother and repeat myself but I am very interested in Maximus' claims "Turkey is finished my friend". Please elaborate, enlighten us Maximus. Turkey is finished is a very strong statement. I have searched high and low on the net and can't find anything to back your claims. "Finished" means final, complete, end of.

Please tell us, when can we go and loot this land of riches? When can we kick the military force off the island. Your statement suggests we can already do this. Finished will be the start of a new era for the Kurds, I have just visited my local Kurdish sandwich bar and mentioned your post to him and he is just as confused as I am and don't quite know what possessed you to make such a claim.

I hope you can back your claim "Turkey is finished my friend" with real hard evidence and not your usual bullshit full of wishful thinking.
