How exactly did they do that? You mean they did not join the ranks of the colonial "auxiliary police", and of the TMT and did not participate in the murders of unarmed Greek Cypriot civilians?

They did not oppose enosis like us, so they sat back and accepted their fate with the GCs, they have lost their chance.

We won't see any flags of the Republic RW... This is a stunt paid for by Turkey/Illegal Regime and doubtless swelled by Turks living in Brussels bussed in by Turkey as we saw happened in Paris a few months ago.

...when she gets past the Treaty of Lausanne there is a chance for reason to replace the sense that lands like Cyprus, conquered by the Ottoman Empire are not property (lost), owned, and plundered at will. no longer, if Turkey decides, will it be Honourable in the world to represent oneself as a State, or as Peoples, even as Individuals in a manner which is unthinking because it is selfish. Cypriots, whether they are Turkish or Greek, are quite different to the brethren amongst them who choose to remain staunchly as they were divided, "Greeks" and "Turks", and it stinks of Intolerance their debate because it thus Ignores the Supremacy of Mankind, existing as this impasse, the Problem, where Cypriots their Unity dismissed are identified by an ethnic origin, and, where if you are not "Turkish" you are "Greek"; i wait patiently and hopeful, i know that this state is not natural, and i know that nothing stays the same forever,

The Arab League just can't wait for the CY presidency to start:

Russia-Cyprus Relations Could Help in Syria - El-Araby
Russia and China need to be on board in order for the Syrian conflict to be resolved at the UN Security Council level, and the relations between Cyprus and Russia could be helpful towards this end, said Arab League Secretary-General Nabil el-Araby during his visit to Nicosia.
Russia and China have vetoed recent Security Council resolutions calling for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to be replaced. The EU has also recognised the Syrian National Council and slapped strict sanctions on Assad.
As of July 1st when Cyprus takes up the EU presidency, it will be the leader of the EU and the EU is a major player in giving the Syrian people the right to attain their legimate demands, said el-Araby.

We fought for Cyprus not to be united to Greece they didnt...would you be rather today be part of a bankrupt Greece or in the position your are in right now?
