...dreaming again.vp?
the so called TRNC is a failed state clearly. didn't it change its name recently?
...although you are quite right, only a "Turk" gets pleasure from it; no Turk is proud of the plunder.
repulse you need to wake up from your nivrana sleep because the TRNC maybe unrecognized and have its problems just like any other country but it is not going away as long as you continue to ignore it....38 years is testiment to this fact. Yours words onlt console your heavy heart in knowing that as long as you continue to act in the same maaner as you have been doing so for the past 52 years + the division will remain. The dynamics in the TRNC as time passes will not improve for you but worsen as new generations will not even remember a time of when the two communities tried to live together.
...countries don't have as a priority, to be recognised.
i think you ignore the fact that after so many years, only Turkey has a hand in supporting this campaign. and after so much effort nothing changes in how the world perceives your stature as an administration illegally representing their aims. you claim the dynamics will favour a "Turkish" rather than a Turkish identity in Cyprus as time passes, but it is not based on the reality of the ground. it is new, the open gates. what is a prospreous nation has made a commitment toward promoting themselves as an inclusive people, with their membership within the EU; parasites, according to their benefactor, live in the north. you fear a world unchanging, like it was at the end of the Cold War, i say we must embrace the future, where first we are Humans; it is afterall the beginning of the Information Age, the Modern Age is ending. it is Justice seen, and Justice demonstrated, if it is the displaced (the missing and the murdered) who receive our first consideration toward ending the Problem, with for some at least a return as they left, as Communities, (without discrimination, Greek or Turk, '63 or '74). Greeks and Turks as well as the whole world seek one island as one People, except Turkey; and you're right it has been a long time for us to arrive at the point where it is actually easy, so much work has been done to end Ignorance, why not in Cyprus?
...i understand vp, you are defending a way of life, to be Turkish and to be proud. i say, be Turkish, be proud, demonstrate this as Goodwill with acts that benefit all Mankind, unlike "Turks" (or "Greeks", "etc.") who will with malice plunder at an opportunity, and who deny the wrongdoing. (i remember Solomou),
that may offend you, but don't you want to know if the Turkish Army wants to understand why their troops are so undisciplined that they'll shoot and wound a UN observer, harming women, and a child, in the melee? it does not bode well if there are Turcophones in Cyprus, who in their actions within a healthy Democracy confront this (what is an alien) force in the future.
...you want a Turkish Cypriot Constituency; demand a Greek Constituency, demand the same accomodation for Armenians and Maronites, the Latins, because they have a living Heritance that, if we are Cypriots, deserves recognition and the same respect within this unity: leave the Federal Government to thrive Free, as a defender of our Individual Rights without bias, because Citizens as Persons can promote a National Constituency as well, and its Distinct Identity, by living in their Territorial Jurisdictions.
i ask you vp, what is a better act, my dreaming or the same woofwoof that suits those who would have Cypriots remain at this impasse, as their subjects?
...a ha! another good reason for this opportunity less than two weeks from now, i saw in my mind's eye the flag flying higher; and as an object symbolising a geography where there are Cypriots as its dwellers.
