Currently, the terrorists control 3,355 km2, the Anglo Americans control 250 km2 and the locals control 5646 km2 of a total area of 9251 km2.

Subtract a further area of 346 km2 from the free areas (UN-BZ), and we are only left with 5300 km2.

Two reasons. 1. Strategic. 2. Economic (resources).

Since some "Cyprus Greeks" on this forum believe that Cyprus has enosis with Greece through the EU......,

I disagree. Cyprus, thanks to its admission to the EU, has become a more "secure" sovereign entity than before, but not a part of Greece. That is what enosis means. But this is very fortunate, because there are two Greek votes in the EU now.

....you shouldn't be too concerned with the bases as you also have enosis with the UK for the same reason,....

Not at all. Britain is trying to have a special sovereign arrangement in respect to the bases. Therefore, I am not concerned with the bases but with the sovereign rights which Britain is trying to secure for the bases, especially in respect to MY EEZ.

......so at the end of the day it's all "EU territory", isn't it?

No. Because, under Annan Plan 5 and under the Annan Plan 6 which the British are trying to impose, the British bases will remain out of the control of the EU and the RoC and will have sovereignty rights on part of MY property (EEZ). That is why they should not be granted sovereign rights on our wealth. And when it comes to resources, it will not be the Roc selling them to the EU but partly the RoC and partly Britain.

I talk about reality, but even you are now sounding like a Turk harping on about the dead Annan plan.
