Because they listened to Sir Winston Churchill. :)

"It is only natural that the Cypriot peoble who are of Greek descent, should regard their incorporation into their mother country as an ideal to be earnestly, devoutedly and fervently cherished."

Your fallacies are not even logical! Britain was not defeated by EOKA. Cyprus was defeated by EOKA, plain simple, even plain simpletons can see this, except the nationalists of the forum who interpret total defeat as total victory. Bloody hell, we lost half of Cyprus and the other half is on the line.

We finally have democratic control over 60% of the island and are in the best possible position to liberate the rest and you bemoan losing the enslavement enforced upon us through a thousand means by the British.

Admin, do you realise that this is why the forum is being driven by these fanatics to extinction? All serious people have left the forum and the cowards, hiding behind aliases, hurl abuses at anyone that has a different story to tell from theirs. Kimon has uttered the worse possible insult and of course B25 seconded, one used by extreme nationalists when they want to belittle anyone else. Tourkosporos means your mother conceived you with a Turk and in their sick mind, this is the worse sin possible and the worse thing it can happen to anyone. For them the word Turk is an insult, a bad word that points to the worse type of a person in the galaxy. This is the behaviour that destroyed Cyprus as these people managed to silence anyone with a different message by calling them Tourkosporous. Now, these people are bent on destroying whatever is left of this island.

Bananiot, stop acting like a prima donna. You wind people up just so that you can derail threads. You've said worse to others over the years so don't play innocent now! You make claims which you fail to back up (see earlier) and twist facts to suit your own interpretations. When this is pointed out - you throw a strop like now.

But, I stopped calling you "crazy woman" and in any case, I always use English so that everybody understands. Is it okay if I start calling people different names in another language? Do you condone such behaviour?

96 % of the Greek cypriot population supported EOKA and its fight for independence and Enosis, and you probably did also Bananiot.

Dude, your demeanor in general has always been that of extreme anti- Cypriot sentiment in every sense of the word. Never spared a positive thought, passed a fair judgment for this country EVEN when deserved!
