Bill just a thought, If George was to take a piss from the top, could he piss over Turkey? That would be the icing on the cake for me :) :) :)

Yes, Turkey got a team up 6 years ago... and they're still drilling for gas.

... but politics aside, George Andreou's team have just released this prepared statement from George...

Latest on the Descent from Everest.

George Andreou and the others of the first team are spending the night at Camp 4 on the South Col to re-hydrate and recover before the next stage of the descent tomorrow.

The Expedition Leader writes...

All of us are exhausted for that matter but not as tired as our first wave team is right now. Marty's ...(the Team Leader)...call came in a bit late from the South Col because in order to reach the radio signal he had to walk about 100 feet or so from his tent and getting himself and the other members organized in their tents and hydrated was priority.

They are extremely tired as you can imagine, it was a long ascent with so many people and events on the route but the seven of them tucked in as one strong and focused unit, staying healthy and determined to get their moment on top and return safely without incident. The interesting part will be when they share their experience up there with the second wave team tomorrow at Camp 2. They are sleeping on oxygen tonight and will have great climb down tomorrow. Very proud of these guys!

What's next? Everyone at Peak Freaks getting some shut eye....... Over and out... Tim and Becky

On the Facebook page Cyprus Everest Expedition 2012, Andreou describes Camp 4, death zone, as ‘literally an area covered in debris from 50 years of missions, filled with oxygen tanks, food wrappers and even human remains.’

WARNING: Disturbing pics.

Read about the 1996 Disaster - 15 dead that year - 8 died on 10/11 May alone, many on the way down.

Last couple of posts should remind us that Everest is still is a very dangerous place.

Reported on a couple of FB Pages that they have left Camp 3 and are headed back down to Camp 2.
