I have resolved my Birthday forgetting problem by having a girlfriend and eventually got married and now i have three more people including my wife to remind me of my birthday... also, i am now responsible for remembering all three birthdays as well...
I would usually forget my birthday and my parents' as well until i met my wife... she is the one who keeps the birthday calendar and would inform me of any celebrations i would otherwise completely forget... it's something i believe i have inherited from my father, he just does not have clue about my birthday as well until someone reminds him. and not to mention his grandchildrens'
