You will need to have been registered as a Cypriot for at least six months before you can apply for a voting book.

Here is the application form http://moi.gov.cy/images/stories/PDF_FI ... talogo.pdf

The parties of the centre. Lets see:

EDEK = social nationalists, under the wings of the Archbishop,
DIKO = the most corrupt party by far. Our economic woes are founded by their late leader Kyprianou who "miraculously" took the party from 10% to 28% by exchanging allegiance to the party with cushy government posts, paid by the tax payer of course. Nationalist to the bone marrow.
EVROKO = hitlerites of Cyprus, need say no more.
GREENS = more yellow than green, equally nationalists as the rest of the "centre"

In 1998 they tried to get their act together again and the best they could offer was the joker Paschalides who of course did not show at all in the elections! Some centre indeed!

Cowboy, I like Eratw too. She would make a fine president. The rejectionists cannot stomach her of course because, as the most senior officer of the Foreign Ministry in 2003-2004, she praised the dreaded Annan plan.

Given half the chance, he would probably vote Denktash, but I think Banana is going to vote Anastasides an even bigger traitor

If Denktash is resented because he is a nationalist then equally resented are the GC nationalists, such as the late Papadopoulos, Lyssarides, Omirou, Sillouris, Lillikas and a few others that eye the top spot. I have never voted any of these jokers, because I know that all are problems stem from the choices of the nationalists from both sides. There is no need to speculate as to how I will vote. I will tell you when the chips are down, I have never hidden behind nicks and anonymity like most of our forum patriots.

If it wasn't for nationalists like Grivas and Papadopoulos you would still be an "Oriental Gentleman" under British rule. And the CY gas fields in the south would be "sovereign" British property (Annan Plan). But, I suppose, those are your "Democratic-non Nationalist" aspirations.
