EU Commissioner Boycotts Syria Meeting in Turkey

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

EU Commissioner Boycotts Syria Meeting in Turkey

Postby bill cobbett » Fri Mar 30, 2012 9:33 pm

The EU Commissioner for Foreign Policy Catherine Ashton is reported to be boycotting a meeting to debate the situation in Syria being held in Ankara over Turkey's refusal to invite the Republic to attend.

Instead a deputy looks likely to take her place and in a show of solidarity with CY, some other EU member states will be sending reduced diplomatic missions.

This is a very interesting turnaround for the normally pro-Turkey, MEP, Catherine Ashton.
