Drought conditions confirmed in parts of Yorkshire

Parts of Yorkshire are officially in a drought according to the Environment Agency.

I think all the ex-pats living here should take a lead from Cypriots who are sending food to Greece, they should save all of their used bath water and have it sent to Yorkshire!

I don't have baths - waste of precious water. Will my shower water suffice? :lol:

Hose-pipe ban starts in a few days time here in SE England.

Well it was bound to happen cos spent some time a few weeks ago rigging up a mains pressure water supply from back garden to front of house for car washing. Got a tap out front but it works at low pressure from the loft tank. So looks like am back to using buckets...

Sorry got to go.... got to move the sprinkler, it's running watering the lawn, trying to give it a damned good soaking before the hose ban.
