THE Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu has reiterated that the negotiations on the Cyprus problem will end in June, adding that there is no chance for reaching an agreement before campaigning begins for the Presidential race in 2013.
Eroglu argued that neither he nor the Turkish Cypriot “people” could accept what the Greek Cypriots want for an agreement and alleged: “Even if you give them the entire Cyprus you cannot satisfy them”.
Eroglu argued that it is difficult to sit at the same table and try to agree with a person who is only focused on “taking”.
Earlier this week UN envoy Alexander Downer acknowledged that the stalks would probably end in June.
Negotiations between President Demetris Christofias and Turkish-Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu have effectively stalled in recent months, with little or no progress being recorded..
President Christofias need to take the lead on this one. Call the negotiation process off, no need to waste time.
Return to the UN and remind the UN that itself has taken several resolutions condemning the Turkish Occupation and 'trnc". Make them accountable to their resolutions.
Why doesn't Presidnet Christofias take the lead and end the talks now. What is the point in wasting more time. He needs to end talk now return to UN and remind the UN that they tmhemselves have taken multiple Resolutions condemning the Turkish occupation of OUR Coutnry.
