Whereas you are deserving of some credit for wishing to enlist in the armed forces in defence of your country, your 'Attitude' (if the above be an example of it) falls very far short of that which would be expected of a professional soldier.

Sadly, there are many young men who express such 'Rambo-Like' declarations, only to discover to their dismay that the 'Enemy' can shoot back.

I am of the opinion that you should reconsider your intention, your enthusiasm to draw blood may well prove to be a danger to your own comrades should you find yourself in a position where a 'Cool Head' is preferable to an 'Eager Heart'.

I was born in the UK but am half Greek Cypriot, my fathers side is Greek Cypriot. I want to become a Cypriot citizen and I want to know information on joining the army in Cyprus, I cant find any information on this subject on the internet apart from discussion boards such as this. I just want to know if some one has some proper information for me about this. I don't mind about joining the army I just want to know as much as I can about this. And if anyone in the same situation or knows anyone who is to please help me! I am passionate about my routes and want to do something about it,

I have always wanted to join the army since I was little, and I am proud of my routes and love Cyprus and Greece to pieces. To be honest I've worked solid since i have left school and i fancy a change and wouldn't mind aiming a rifle and blowing a few turks away in the future...

What you need is not the army, it is a doctor. Why don't you do yourself a favour and book yourself in to the nearest psychiatric and tell them what you have said here. You can be cured.

Maybe you got the wrong end of the stick and have no sense of humor. Whats the problem with wanting to join the Army?
