I have a Pioneer system in my car (which was installed when I bought it). At the moment, it tells me exactly where I am in Japan, which is a bit of a shame as I'm in Cyprus! Apparantly it also plays dvd's, although I haven't put this to the test, and receives television.
Would this new Cyprus GPS system work on this system? As a technophobe, I'd appreciate any advice - thanks

Something tells me you would not be able to use it in CY. Mostly because the DVD format may be different. Did you try a Region 2 DVD in your system?

If the mapping is not done specificly for your system you might end up in China LOL

No it won't. The system described above is Packet Navigator 6 which needs a Windows Mobile 5/6 platform to run on. It is also shite, so I wouldn't bother paying out good money for it either!

Thanks Leonidas and Murf62.
As someone else mentioned earlier in the thread, it's quite difficult to get lost in Cyprus! It would have been handy for street locations in areas I'm not too familiar with, but there's always the old fashioned maps to get you there!
I appreciate your advice.

Fully function; if I were to put a postal code in and an address would it take me to my destination? Would it have shortcuts to destinations too, similar to my mothers TomTom? Would it speak to me in an English womans voice too. :-) I would be interested to know.

The Demo Map is in the Greek Script - I would have thought that English would have been more commercial ? Or will it have both Options?

I smell that this first post by a new member is an advert? Perhaps?

Well I guess it makes sense, first thing he says is an advert. I don't think I would wait for a reply to my question. :-(
