UK MP wants volunteers to clean up churches in the north

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

If Australia and Canada can convert 'them', so can we.
One of the essentials is accepting who they are and where they come from. White people assimilate easily if given enough rope, blacks and muslims are hard.

Embargoed! Calls for MP Burrowes to step down for his anti-Turkish, anti-Muslim bias.

It was my intention to join the clean up in the north. I had hoped to take photos and video that could be used to highlight the desecration. I was led to believe that the organisers would make all reservations and transfers. No mention was made of cost but I was quite prepared to pay for myself. A couple of days ago I was informed that Cyprus Airways were unable or unwilling to accept a group booking for the event and that we would have to make our own way to Nicosia and find accommodation ourselves. I was left wondering what other last-minute surprises would be in store so I have decided not to go.

I have been given an itinerary of the project. If any locals wish to volunteer here are the details. I have omitted the locations of the churches and cemeteries on the list.

David BurrowesMP - Chairman of the British All Party Parliamentary Group on Cyprus and two lead members of the Religious and Cultural Heritage Sub-committee Matthew Offord and Jim Sheridan MP together with Nick de Bois MP, publicly announce meeting points for volunteers.

Looks like those muppets at Embargoed! thought that the visit had been cancelled:

Mr Burrowes added " the disappointing aspect to the visit was the negative comments of some political activists and politicians. This view contrasts with the positive attitude of local Cypriots who see issues of religious heritage as an humanitarian issue beyond politics."

It turns out that the Illegal Regime refused to stand aside so the restoration work could proceed in the Occupied Areas...

... " Enfield North MP Nick de Bois told the Advertiser they were unable to carry out the restoration work with a group of Turkish and Greek Cypriot volunteers because “the north Cyprus administration did not give permission for the work to go ahead ”....

Not nice, is it? Two way traffic I guess. Considering the TC's have been putting up with not being given "permission" to do many things, even the most basic rights taken away from them this should give you an idea of what they feel about this.

... the reference is to "north Cyprus administration" so it is a critical ref to what others would call the Illegal Regime and not to the people you might call "TCs" .

The article also includes praise for the role of CY people of both persuasions in this rapprochement.

Personallly I'd call decribe it as the Illegal Turkish occupation regime cutting its own nose of to spite its' face: an own goal. Now there will be a number of British MP's who will be rather more willing to question the commitment of the Illegal Turkish occupation regime to raproachment.

All κῦδος to the private individuals who were willing to work to clean up thse sites.
