Finally we now have HSPA+ speeds in Cyprus.
I was browsing the net and everything was super quick and I was using my data connection and not my wifi. Did a speed test and got 18.3Mb on my mobile!
Then I checked out MTN's site and sure enough they have the new service.
I'm seriously thinking of ditching cyta and getting one of their mobile wifi hotspot devices to replace my wifi needs at home. Is this possible?

I guess it is possible if you have good HSPA+ coverage where your home is. It is €79 for the "unlimited" plan (40GB per month "Fair usage policy")

Didn't know this. 40GB not much good if your a heavy user of streaming live tv like me.

After the 40GB they will just manage (reduce) your speed, they will not cut you off completely. But they don't say how much they will reduce it. Maybe even at reduced speed you will still be able to stream TV ... SD at least.
