Well, seems we will have happy days ahead, check this statement:

" Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that unless a solution to the Cyprus problem is reached by the 1st of July, Turkey would not resume its EU membership negotiations “even if 20 chapters were opened.”

The French, Germans, EU, including Cyprus would be rejoicing if this were true.

Turkey now threatens to annex a part of eu territory, how about the eu threaten an economic embargo against turkey, and lets see how long it would take the turks to decide against annexing the occupied areas of cyprus

VP, it kills me to say this, but I AGREE with you on this one. They are just F useless.

In my opinion they will not proceed with EU membership over the 6 month period Cyprus will hold the Presidency. They are behaving childish and as such do not care. They have still yet to open the ports to Cypriot flagged ships. I doubt they will show appropriate level of diplomacy.

However, EU should remember that when Turkey chooses to follow thorough and say you'll have to wait. Sorry and thank you for visiting.
