The very nice and fair Mr Downer has been condemned in speeches made to TMT/Volkan groups in the Occupied Areas for acting against the Spokesperson for the Settlers and Turkey Eroglu in talks that Mr Downer held with Trades Unions.

Remarkably Mr Downer is further accused of organising protests against Eroglu and the Illegal Regime.

It seems the Downer is beginning to realise that Eroglu is not acting in the best interest of the Turkish Cypriots. A great many TCs seem to be dissatisfied with the way the negotiations are going and with Eroglu for putting Turkeys interests first. Eroglu's lack of immediate condemnation of Bagis outrageous comment on annexation gave a clear indication of his policy. I think the New Cyprus Party (YKP) made the correct assessment with their statement : “It is very clear that those who administrate Turkey do not really want a solution in Cyprus. Yes, the Opposition has been very critical of Bagis and his Annexation remarks but really Eroglu and others at the top of the Illegal Regime have echoed the comments.

Downer is not realising anything, the man is untrustworthy and will sell out the Cypriots any time to get his ego needs met.

President Christofias needs to change tact. No more negotiations the UN has taken out resolutions condemning the Turkish occupation of cyprus and he needs to attend UN gatherings reminding the world of this atrocious act. The aim of Christofias should be to remind the international community on the part they took in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kwait a few years ago and act in the same so called good faith.

so are they, and that is a good feeling. They may hold some land hostage but we have excelled over 35 years and we will keep on doing so. only thought that gets me through this fark up. The international Community have allowed the TC's not only to drag themselves to an oblivion but hinder the prosperity of Cyprus.
