But, you are wrong that the RoC is forced to provide these benefits. Who forces them? The RoC's authority cannot be exercised in the occupied region. So how can they offer all these benefits if their authority is suspended over the occupied region? You cannot on the one hand have a suspension of authority but on the other hand still be forced to provide help and governance.

As for recognition; tell me which countries have stated that their non-recognition of the 'trnc' is dependent on the continual provision of these benefits by the RoC?

You are merely trying to justify why you are prostituting yourselves by accepting these benefits from the RoC whilst also selling yourselves to Turkey.

You are so blind its unbelievable the "RoC" claims to represent all Cypriots, is that not right?

In order to support this claim is has to provide these services, if they stopped then the TRNC would be the recognized country of the Turkish Cypriots providing these services to its people.

The "RoC" are the real thieves of our recognition and are milking for all its worth, in order to ensure this stolen right is not taken away they are forced to provide these services.....we are talking about revenge seeking racist bigoted Gcs who would rather see TCs suffer under the isolation forcing them to accept GC demands, if they could they would immediately stop these services but ask yourself why they dont? the answer is you cant, the consequences would be devastating to your cause.

The RoC does represent all Cypriots - we both agree.

In order to support this claim is has to provide these services,

Look here, some of those benefits are not even available to GCs. They are not a test of its authority over its citizens.

From a practical point of view, how can it provide benefits to those who are not available to its authority? It's perfectly acceptable to say that because of the occupation, the TCs could not be reached to help. That's why no other country can force the RoC to provide these benefits - but the RoC has gone out of its way to find some solutions to provide extra benefits for the TCs under occupation.

In the end, the RoC would have failed in providing these benefits if the TCs were not themselves ready, willing (with open hands and bottomless pockets) and able to accept (nay, demand), these benefits. But it's a miracle the RoC does all this as it could have just said it was impossible to provide anything for the TCs whilst they are under willing-occupation by Turkey.

if they stopped then the TRNC would be the recognized country of the Turkish Cypriots providing these services to its people.

But you already 'self-recognize' don't you? You haven't answered my question re. which are the countries who would suddenly recognize the 'trnc' if the RoC did not perform this miracle of giving you so many free provisions?

If you want recognition so much, and you have such a simple solution (providing for yourselves), then give back all the benefits, stop accepting any more and pay back all those old debts. But you know that even then, it will always be the case that you are illegally occupying other people's homes, land and sovereign territory and this is something you can never write off!

What demands? Really, VP, this last rant is worthy of a thread of its own. It is so full of contradictions - I don't have the patience to wurlitzer with you.

I was walking by the crossing at Ledra street in the evening with my family and had this idea to cross over to the occupied part of the town, but had no ID or anything with me. I thought of asking the Kibrisli officer woman at the crossing whether she could let me go if i gave her my name and ID number. I am sure she could find me on the computer, after all it would be just a one hour walk and back. The woman was thinking about it, hesitating, thought of asking some superior, it was obvious she was trying to serve me as best as she could, and perhaps even take all responsibility and let me pass. Next to her there was a young settler say "new TC" woman with purely oriental looks who seemed agitated hearing all this. At the moment the Kibrisli officer woman was about to tell me "tamam"/OK the "new TC" woman jumped in furious and with full audacity told me "if you don't have passport, go home and sleep"

Good İdea .....i will try same on my next trip to south.....see what will be the reaction of the GC or Greek reaction....sorry i forgot my ID....here is the my name .............

The "GC reaction" should be one of complete mistrust when anyone tries to enter the free areas; because, the occupied area is full of illegal settlers, TCs who brought Turkey, murderous Turkish troops on leave, plus a host of goodness-knows-who that have NOT entered Cyprus under the rightful authority of the RoC!

The authority is with the RoC, to ask whatever i.d. it requires. It is working under the legitimate auspices of an EU sovereign country.

You, on the other hand, have set up a rank of Turks to ethnically, and in a racist manner, keep out Greeks from their homes of thousands of years. You have NO rightful authority to check or ask anything of RoC citizens!

Perhaps you would like to know that our glorious RoC even accepts "Trnc" IDs. When I heard of this I almost fainted.
Perhaps you would also like to know that a lot of settlers living within the walls of Nicosia do know and speak Greek.
HOW and WHEN have they learned it????

Pyro;

I tried today (around 09:45) İ past from the TC check point with my TRNC ID card. When i came to GC check point, they asked from me to show my ID ....i said very politely to GC lady that i forgot my Cyprus İD at my car. İ said to her pls find my name from the computer , i gave her my name and Cyprus ID number ...she said i can not pass...i said to her i can...because i am a Cypriot...she called the GC police man and he show me the way to TC post.... Than i asked to police man can i use my TRNC ID ...he said yes..... i said to him no thanks...and i return back to Buyuk han to meet my friends.....

this was the my try Pyro ....on my return back to buyukhan i met Nice GC friends also i met one of the party leader as well....we had good lough and good company till my son come to collect me....i didn't mention single word about them ...for the name of not to spoil our friendship.

Bre halil efendi do we understand each other yes or no? I told you they would most propably let you pass if THEY KEPT A COMPUTER RECORD of who gets in. The fact is they RoC police DOES NOT KEEP SUCH A RECORD it is your occupation regime that keeps such. Now do you understand what I said?

As for your second point that the "glorious" RoC does in fact accept "trnc" cards, have I said any different?Look at my post to Greekisland girl.

I think you 've eaten too much at Buyukhane buyukum

Why on earth should we lie? they treat us with contempt and hate....please just go watch how the GC police deal with TCs when crossing, we feel intimidated and at risk.

I don't know why you lie. But like I said we are there too and we see tha no such thing happens. So you lie, as simple as that.

But you are a GC so they treat you differently, but for us as the enemy they hate even the way they ask for our ids is degrading and intimidating, you can never understand this. How do you feel when facing the TC police at the crossing and the face they show you? is it welcoming and do you feel safe?

Look Greek girl Gcs cannot stop these services or they would do so immediately to add to the strangle hold of isolation they think will make us crumble and capitulate to their demands.

These benefits have been provided to the Turk-TCs for many decades. Nothing has been sought in return. If you know otherwise, on what exactly have you capitulated?

Also, once again I ask you; what are these "demands" which the RoC is making in exchange for these benefits?

As for "isolation": this is where you contradict yourself, yet again. Why would we, on the one hand, "isolate" you (so that you capitulate) and then also give you so many benefits (so that you capitulate)?

Greek girl you are answering your own question in respect to why would GCs force isolation and not cancel a few services....its simple they cant they just have to much to lose. Cancelling them would mean you would have to explain to the International community how exactly it is that you can represent all Cypriots when you do not provide anything for the TCs?

As for the GC demands that you would mean our capitulation would be to accepting minority rights in a GC state.

VP if the intention was REALLY to make you crumble and capitulate then Tassos Papadopoulos would not give you electricity when you had total blackout.Within one week half of your merchants would go bankrupt!!The hospitals would be full with sick people from various diseases.. That would be a total catastrophy for you.

You are partly right that some of the services cannot be stopped because the RoC is the legally recognized state. Issuing of IDs and passports for example. We can take the first post of GIG that contains all those services and answer you one by one which of those services can be stopped and which not. The vast majority of those can be stopped. Free Medical care for example. I myself pay all my taxes I am living in RoC yet NONE of my family is entitled to free Medical care at Government hospitals. We all go to private doctors and we pay a lot of money every year. Imagine how I feel when every Kibrisli is entitled to free Medical care, isn't that an injustice against me and my family?

In my opinion the RoC does this to actually support the Kibrislis. It helps as much as she can so that the Kibrislis can stay in Cyprus, rather than be forced to abandon the place, and be replaced by settlers. It is your oWN regime that doesn't care if you get replaced by settlers....
