... To wish me well tomorrow, 1/3/12, as I am in court again for the nth time re-title deeds.
Got a phone call late afternoon from our lawyer saying that the judge had allocated 3 minutes for the hearing and that the defendant would be asking for a further 6 months 'before issuing the deeds'. This despite having 17 years and 4 months in which to issue them.
So I will not prevail on your good wishes this time.
Have you heard of the expression 'Justice delayed is Justice denied'?
What would you do in my position knowing the few facts that you do?

Depends how much of the 17 years has been spent in the Courts of the Republic, how many n'th times ... you have every right to decent and timely admin of justice... drag the Republic's bum to the ECHR under Article 6 of the ECHR if it's been before the Courts for anything like that length of time...

In the determination of his civil rights and obligations or of any criminal charge against him, everyone is entitled to a fair and public hearing within a reasonable time by an independent and impartial tribunal established by law.

Applies to civil matters as well as criminal cases.

Oh ...and an ECHR award would include sums for distress and punitive damages.

The ECHR, is as bent as a ten bob note. I mean look at what they did for the Turkish IPC FGS. A forgeign invader occupier given a madate as a legal entity. Now if thats not F up, I dunno what is.

Sorry, I forgot to update you on my court visit.
It wasn't in court, but in chambers. The judge declared that he was impartial (now why would a judge need to say that?) as I am from Limassol. He kindly allowed English to be spoken.
The developer told obvious lies to the judge, everyone present knew that he was not telling the truth. The outcome was 'I will give you 2 months to give these people their deeds'
There is yet another hearing on 26 April.!!!!!

why would you have another hearing if you have the deeds, and who is the judge giving an order to, to give you your deed, and why doesnt the city this is being heard in issue you the deed, after the judges decision, which i assume was in your favor.
