Wondering if anyone can help me with some ideas/feedback on the best places to live in Paphos. We are looking for something (either an apt or Villa) that is VERY modern and as close to the beach as possible. No sure which are the best suburbs to choose from. Looking for some guidance.... HELP. PS. we arrive on Thursday 1st March 12

To live permanently or for holiday? Sandy beach or any beach? If you want a house as close to the coast as possible then you can rent/buy one right on the coast ... all you have to do is drive along the coast and see what is available ... but of course houses right on the coast will be very expensive.

thx for the feedback. It will be to live permanently and for the beginning we will be renting. Is there much modern new property right on the beach?

When you say "modern" you mean about the style not just how new it is ... right? I don't know how modern they are in Paphos but in Limassol there are some very modern new villas along the coast ... but we are talking about prices of several million euro each or several 1000s if you want to rent ... here is a modern villa in Pomos, Paphos which is for rent just to get an idea: http://vipvillas.com/luxury-villas/vill ... 62916.html So yeah, you can get really modern, really nice and right next to the sea ... but you got to pay for it! If you lower your expectations a bit then you can find much better prices!
