Better news for CY in the Sailing...

In the Men's Laser, Pavlos Kontides is leading today's race and is currently lying in 2nd overall position!

Still a long way to go.

Is an Australian Cypriot Gold(2010) and Silver Medalist(2002) in Aerial Skiing.

Doesn't count for Cyprus I'm afraid. medal goes to Australia.
Although we have snow, the state doesn't fund or support anything apart from soccer, neither does the national media.

Look at at Pavlos Kontides, top 10 in the world. Has won 2 races already at this years Olympics sailing, maybe a medal prospect.

The CY Pavlos Kontides finished 2nd in the 5th race this morning and is currently lying 4th in the 6th race.

Overall Pavlos is still in the lead in the rankings!!!, but now tied for first place with the sailor from Oz, Slingsby.

... and then go to Event Standings from there...

PK now clear in the lead of the OZ and there's a big gap between 3rd and 4th places... This could be CY's first medal. Long way to go 'til Sunday's final.
