Oh yes... standard practise, the width of a finger, the palm etc of an outstretched arm to give an idea of distance.
A very bright Mars over in the east at the mo, with a def pinky-red colour, flashing a bit like a lighthouse in the moving air.
Sounds great if the planets were on the same axis but…Jupiter is so far away from Venus and on top of that the Earth travels in an elliptical path, so what kind of a meaningful value can your two fingers give you?
