Residency =MEU1

Postby zoopigi man » Tue Feb 21, 2012 7:01 am

Hello,

Has anyone filled out form MEU 1 for residency for EU citizen. I need to produce one of these, and one of the documents you need to provide is: "Valid sales contract for the house + copy duly certified and postal stamped from revenue officer and stamped also from certified officer.."

Does anyone who has followed this process know who the revenue and certified officers are and how I find them?

Thanks!

If you are in Paphos, go to the cafe by the Customs' office in the multi coloured Government building. I took a friend recently, Immigration also wanted evidence of income, bank statements and passport, with copies. You will find queing in immigation fun, identifying the potential cabaret 'dancers'.....

You've obviously never been to immigration. If you have then why not give a useful answer instead of trying to be a smartarse?

But since you ask - I live an hours drive away. When you get there you wait in a queue for 2 hours. When you are eventually seen the person who sees you is incapable of answering simple questions (actually seems to go out of their way to be 'awkward'). I only get 1 day off a week and naiively thought I could actually get a bit of useful information from Cyprus Forum in a forlorn attempt at maintinaing some sort of vague pretence at a life. I was obviously wrong, I won't bother you again.

Thanks.

This just means your contract that was stamped and deposited at the land registry. It is postal stamped and revenue stamped. This is the postage type stamp they stick on and stamp over.
