Did you despise the place then, or is that a recent thing...?

I guess I did. I hate competitive sport. I much preferred chatting with my amiable Cypriot friends whilst the middle-class Brit mums drunk themselves silly trying to get little Johnny into all the leagues.

No team spirit among Brits. Self, self, self!

Imperialist twits. :D Don'tcha just luv em?

Personally I love the UK, I just wish it would become anti-imperialist. Any ideas?

I have an idea, but let me not mention it.

As less than 45% of Londoners are 'White British' it looks like those downtrodden by the Colonialists have got their revenge - a bloodless revolution.

You’ll have to be patient enough for the dissolution of the monarchy, which of course may not happen in your lifetime!

I believe it all stems from that...

Milo wrote:Blimey that's rich even coming from you who spends all her waking hours condemning everything and everyone British whilst daring to live there! Yet Cyprus doesn't yet ( 2013 ) have trained paramedics! The deaths occurring without first responders must be thousands over the years, yet still they don't have them!

Lack of response from the govt is appalling and finally theyve been shamed into it this year, training normally takes a full three years! Hopefully those that have now had a years training will continue, the lives these people can save is enormous, having watched a driver and a nurse try and bundle a man who had fallen off a roof onto a stretcher, it was only the quick thinking of ordinary people there who had first aid training who stopped them before they had done more damage, his back was broken. I don't blame those people they do their best in the circumstances, it of course starts with the people in charge who care little what happens to their citizens IMO. Both govts don't give a toss until someone points things out to them, Cyprus in that respect is certainly no different.

How terrible to deny its citizens the chance of life by immediate first aid given professionally instead life ebbs away because first responders aren't available, what has the Cyprus govt done with all it's money ? Shame on them too....

It's not about revenge. I don't want revenge I want people to act responsibly and with respect. People seem to think I don't care about the English just because I'm anti-"White". I'm anti-"White" because I'm anti-"race". I'm pro-humanity. Reverse colonialisation isn't the answer, even if that is what is taking place, which it isn't. Rather the imperialists are simply strengthening their hand by draining the best from other countries under the guise of charity.

How does a nation become imperialist?
Simply because they can, they have the intellect and ingenuity.

Ask yourself this question Tsuk.
If Cyprus (hypothetically speaking) had been located in the heart of Africa, are you of the belief that the neighboring African states would have left Cyprus in peace over the course of centuries?
Given that ethnic and religious wars to this day are waged in Africa by warring tribes and sects on a massive scale. Many improperly documented by the west.

The fact is, that if Africans had the intellectual capacity to progress beyond the bow and arrow and mudhut, mastered sea travel beyond the dugout canoe and crossed continents exploring foreign soil, they too, without a shadow of a doubt would have become colonizers.
