Progress has been quick; the rebels have reached Damascus.

...and from independent reports it appears as though the Russians have evacuated their airbase and their Naval installation.

...they have advised all Russians to leave.

I believe the same will happen in Syria as happened in Libya ....... the French and the British helped bring down the Ghadaffi 'regime', and turned the richest country in Africa into one of the poorest. This time the Us and Israel helped the Syrian terrorists bring down Assad. You could even add ..... just like the US helped destroy Ukraine? :(

You can add Afghanistan and Iraq to that list.

...the foreign reserves of the Treasury have been completely sacked, it is said. Assad now in Moscow has been given sanctuary.

I worry that the Muslim Brotherhood will find its revival in this confusion given Turkey's support for it; we will see.

...indeed such a revolution does invite the kind of anarchy that happened in Libya, but for the fact that this brutal oppression has gone on for fifty years; all the factions want Peace, and by now Syrians have come to realise that to free themselves from it they must act as a single People despite their differences as Persons.
