Syria Preparing for a Major US Military Attack

Russian troops have already been deployed to 'critical locations' to deter Washington By Mohammad Ayesh

Damascus has taken a series of measures to prepare for an anticipated US military strike, Western diplomats told Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat.

The measures were decided on Saturday during a meeting of the National Security Council, chaired by President Bashar al-Assad, which included military and security leaders.

As part of the government's preparations, letters were sent to Russia and Iran to request additional protection and Russian army troops have reportedly already been deployed to "critical locations" in order to deter Washington, one diplomat told the paper.

Russian troops may also be sent to protect civilian and military government institutions. It was also reported that the United Nations has moved staff, including diplomats, from particular areas of concern.

The US coalition has been warned ......

There is also a video of Assad driving himself to liberated Eastern Ghouta to visit the SAA units that have all but taken Eastern Ghouta from the US backed terrorists. I could not help thinking ...... would you ever see Trump driving himself in a war zone. He can’t even drive around Washington without a military/secret service escort of dozens of vehicles and a 20+ motorcycle escort.

Remind me again ...... which leader is feared and detested by his people?

Zemmour participated in a radio show on RTL and said: “Two days. There were only two days before the celebration of the new year. Two days before Newroz. The Kurds in Afrin will not be celebrating anything, they are busy fleeing and hiding.”

Zemmour said Kurds have been “smothered” under Turkish bombs for weeks and called the invasion in Afrin a “horrific defeat” and “a great revenge for ISIS”.

“This is a good revenge for Turks who have been supporting ISIS for a long time,” said Zemmour and continued: “A high ranking Turk was making fun, saying ‘Where are these best fighters against ISIS that the Western allies boast so much?’ But the question is asked in the wrong way: Where are the Westerners while their allies against ISIS the Kurds are being massacred?”

Zemmour said the Kurds are too dispersed to be strong and have too little unity to be taken into account: “Because they were loyal to their Western allies, Vladimir Putin threw them to the dogs.”

Zemmour concluded with: “Because they are dreaming of a Kurdistan that will bring Kurds in Turkey, Iraq, Syria and Iran together. It has been put down by all the current states.”

..."revenge", he says. Makes sense to me; how much misery Kurds suffer, how they've been betrayed by "Turks" for "being" Kurds.

If they, the "Turks", manage to realise in Cyprus their dream to divide it, Turkey will be divided. What "Turkishness" has done, is what it is doing to Turkey itself. Decades have passed, these dreams to some extent have succeeded, witness the population in Istanbul, but, the Kurds are Turkish, only not "Turkish".

Erdogan may go too far, and if it is the "brotherhood" he is relying on, i imagine, that they plan to turn on him when he is in a weakened state.

When occupied Kurdistan has had enough, the uprising will determine Anatolia's fate.

...really enjoyed reading this article, although it is about the DAESH in Iraq,

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/04/04/world/middleeast/isis-documents-mosul-iraq.html?nl=top-stories&nlid=65958033ries&ref=cta

While the militants’ state eventually crumbled, its blueprint remains for others to use.

“We dismiss the Islamic State as savage. It is savage. We dismiss it as barbaric. It is barbaric. But at the same time these people realized the need to maintain institutions,” said Fawaz A. Gerges, author of “ISIS: A History.”

“The Islamic State’s capacity to govern is really as dangerous as their combatants,” he said.

...and from taxation they earned more than the oil could have brought them.

...also with a map worthwhile looking at.

As the Russians and Assad has been warning for months, the US coalition WILL instigate a gas/chemical weapons attack, likely in Ghouta and use it to escalate the war in Syria. Now the terrorist and their families have been relocated to Idlib the expected demonstration takes place. It looks like this happened yesterday. Same story, same sources, White Helmets, SOHR and other terrorist sources.

A false flag once again, no doubt to be blamed on Assad although of course the only ones to benefit, like in every other case, are the US backed terrorists! Is the US really stupid enough to use this as an excuse to ramp up their attacks against Assad ........... and the Russians. IMO: If they do I think the Russians will fight back ...... and then what? :?

I think we are witnessing what the Skripal incident was all about and the continuous stream of anti Russian, western propaganda over the last many months ................... and maybe the start of a major escalation in Syria ...... and maybe WWIII !
