Sure, lets have better relations after a comprehensive peace settlement.

Fact is, Trump doesn't like Lootin. He only respected Pootin as a "stronger" leader than Obama.

Obama however, might look weak because he actually strategized and swung the pendulum in favour of Coalition interests.

Coalition has the upper hand and I tried to tell everyone that this will be the case with the fullness of time.

Mate, you haven't a clue. YOUR REBELS ? The President elect doesn't think so!! In less than 6 months it will all be over and Syria will return to peace. You were wrong from the start, you are wrong now !

It will be over when there is a comprehensive peace settlement Miltiades. Without one, it will not be over at all, and Coalition will remain.

Btw, Australia has already received assurances that America's positions on Syria will remain the same as Obama.

The Russian military has launched a large-scale operation against terrorists stationed in Homs and Idlib provinces of Syria, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on Tuesday.
"Today at 10:30 and 11:00 we launched a large-scale operation against the positions of Islamic State and Al-Nusra [terrorist groups] in the provinces of Idlib and Homs," Shoigu said at a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the top leadership of the Russian Armed Forces.

The 'Admiral Kuznetsov' aircraft carrier, the flagship of the Russian Navy, is also taking part, Shoigu said. This is the first time the 'Admiral Kuznetsov' has taken part in a military operation. Sukhoi Su-33 fighter jets have been launched from the deck of the carrier, the defense minister said.

Terrorist positions have been hit with cruise missiles from the frigate ‘Admiral Grigorovich’, Shoigu added.

The strikes are targeting factories and arms depots operated by the jihadists in Syria, he said.

"The main targets of the strikes are warehouses with ammunition, [terrorist] gatherings and terrorist training centers, as well as plants for the production of various kinds of weapons of mass destruction of the population," Shoigu detailed

What has he won? He can't even take Aleppo for crying out loud. The rebels are running rings around the regime's military and Russians.

Coalition on the other hand is putting some runs on the board and will soon declare!

And the end result is? Nothing!

Makes no difference to us. The Air Strikes are in effective whether land based or carrier based.

Rebels have weathered 18 months of this with no sign of capitulation.

Paphitis:[
It will be over when there is a comprehensive peace settlement Miltiades. Without one, it will not be over at all, and Coalition will remain.

That will be when Putin and Trump have had a serious conversation. They decision WILL be as previously posted on here ....... the US Coalition will carry on with their advance in Iraq and Assad and Putin will sort out Syria.... all of it. You always disregard the fact that in International Law YOU and your coalition, and the Kurds and the Turks have invaded a sovereign state. The settlement will have to be some sort of compromise but at the end of the day who rules Syria will be down to the Srian people as Putin has said from day one! No change there then?

Btw, Australia has already received assurances that America's positions on Syria will remain the same as Obama.

I don't know who gave you such assurances but it is 180 at odds with what Trump is saying, so I would not place too much store on such assurances. Instead of getting an Aboriginal ‘reading of the runes’ maybe you would get more sense from Global Research, Information Clearing House, Black Listed News and, of course Sputnik International ?

BTW: Although not covering the coalitions crimes in Syria ..... YET, The ICC is looking into charging US and British Forces with war crimes! I doubt your ‘source’ will pass this on to you but it is as valid, if not more so, than your rabid accusations against Assad and Putin, because it is an accusation by the ICC. ...... not Field Marshall Paphitis! It also included alleged ‘crimes’ by UK Armed Forces

'War crimes of torture': ICC prosecutor signals charges against US Armed Forces, CIA

The International Criminal Court's preliminary probe into the activities of the US armed forces and the CIA in Afghanistan between 2003 and 2004 shows there to be a “reasonable basis to believe that, in the course of interrogating these detainees […] members of the US armed forces and the US Central Intelligence Agency resorted to techniques amounting to the commission of the war crimes of torture, cruel treatment, outrages upon personal dignity, and rape,” Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda said, as cited by AFP.

She discovered that most of the alleged abuses took place between 2003 and 2004, but did not cease in the following years. She also pointed out that the abuses appear to have been “approved interrogation techniques,” utilized deliberately in “an attempt to extract ‘actionable intelligence’ from detainees,” as the report states.

Should formal charges be filed following Bensouda’s report, Washington may be found in violation of several ‘war crimes’ provisions of the ICC Rome Statute. However, as the United States has not ratified the Rome Statute, observers believe it is unlikely that its soldiers in foreign missions will be prosecuted.

“These alleged crimes were not the abuses of a few isolated individuals.”

Pootin and Trump will have the serious conversation at the Syria Support Group summits.

Our position on a comprehensive peace settlement will remain and the Coalition countries will not be assisting the War Crimes of the regime or helping Russia and betray key allies which are about 10 times more important to us than Russia can ever be.

Assad backed by the Russians has, as previously pointed out, in twelve months, relieved hundreds of towns and villages of your head chopping, Sharia promoting terrorists ...... and over 70% of the population is now under the protection of the SAA.

So what have YOU got to show for four years of bombing? YOU are still in the outskirts of Mosul in spite of a massive bombing campaign that has killed hundreds, maybe thousands, of civilians. But The ICC is on you case! :x

Pootin doesn't back Assad! The only thing they have said is they don't want another Libya!

They have already admitted that a pathway to transition is inevitable and they expect the UN to monitor these elections. They do not see a future for Assad long term because they don't want to be stuck in a Geurilla War for the next 5 to 10 years.

Frankly, you will not like the future peace deal that awaits.

A deal might be closer but the Coalition of the Rebels will not accept anything less than political transition and Russia sees it too, it's just the details they disagree on. Either way, Assad is gone and does not serve Russian interests either.
