Are you deluded! Do you think Pootin wants to die?

It's not much of a WW if Russia will have no one supporting it because no one has a death wish.

Pootin will not fight if the Coalition declared a no fly zone. He wouldn't fly let alone attack our planes or troops and you know it.

Actually I take that back. Those who actually have some common sense know that Pootin will wee in his underwear if Obama had shown leadership.

His military is absolutely no match. You don't expect him to have an impact with 40 fighter bombers do you? Friggin Jordan alone has more aircraft in the area? Yes that is the truth old man. They have absolutely nothing. They are just hot flying their planes which means the engines are hardly shutdown. Conventionally, they are just a little bit better than a middle power.

CHP head again accuses Turkish gov’t of sending arms to jihadists
Main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) head Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has repeated accusations that the Turkish government has sent arms to jihadist groups in Syria.

“Turkey should not lend armed support to jihadist groups in Syria such as [the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant] ISIL,” Kılıçdaroğlu said during his Feb. 16 address to the CHP’s parliamentary group.

They built a training camp in Turkey. Tombs and mosques have been bombed. They said, ‘Blood can pour in Syria but [Syrian President Bashar al] Assad should go.’ But their real problem is not al-Assad,” he added.

“You are disgracing Turkey,” Kılıçdaroğlu added, stating that it was well-known that many jihadist groups have leaked into Syria via Turkey.

Russian air strikes vile, cruel and barbaric: Turkish PM

The prime minister also accused the PYD/YPG of being “Russia’s legion working as mercenaries” with the priority of harming Turkey’s interests.

“The YPG and PYD are not representatives of the Kurds, not of Syria, they are Russian legionnaires and mercenaries,” he said.

“In the face of all of these provocations, I’m calling on beyond Syria, beyond Iraq and everywhere. Nobody should attempt to exploit the Kurds. The Kurds’ state, patron and protector is the state of the Republic of Turkey.”

Ankara ‘asking allies’ for ground op in Syria
Turkey is looking to drum up support for a ground operation in neighboring Syria together with its international allies to end the five-year-old civil war that has cost the lives of at least 260,000 people, an official has said.

“We are [telling] coalition partners that there should be a ground operation. We are discussing this with allies,” the official told reporters at a briefing in Istanbul, according to Reuters.

“There is not going to be a unilateral military operation from Turkey in Syria,” the official said, according to Agence France-Presse, but added: “Without a ground operation, it is impossible to stop the fighting in Syria.”

Opposition says Turkey’s national security at risk
Opposition parties have blasted the government for its Syrian policy, saying Turkey's national security is at great risk because of the wrong steps taken, as the government looks to be preparing for a ground operation in Syria.
Leaders of the opposition parties underlined in their speeches at their parliamentary group meetings on Tuesday that Turkey could land itself in real trouble unless it takes a complete u-turn in its policy on Syria.
“Our national security is faced with excessive risk and danger,” Devlet Bahçeli, leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), said, arguing that all indicate that the government is preparing for a ground operation in Syria.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Turkey, or rather Erdogan, decided on unilateral military action with ground troops hoping that the USA and allies would subsequently join in.

This could please the likes of GP ( General Plonker )" orgasmically "

There is not a chance in hell that the USA would come to Turkeys aid, they may quietly bemuse themselves but they have no stomach to enter Syria with ground troops, America will stand by and watch the Russians annihilate Turkish troops.

After reading the articles posted before, one would never think that Turkey is NATO's second largest military force. For years on this forum we were told Turkey can kick anyone's butt because of her military might. We were even told recently that Turkey could invade Russia within 3 days if I'm not mistaken. Well, here is a little bit of Russia right next door in Syria and Turkey can't do anything about it. She can't even fly her jets anywhere near the Syrian border. Turkey with her army of 800,000 troops, thousands of tanks, 2,000 fighter jets (OK, most are dilapidated F-4 Phantoms from the 50's which seems to fall apart on their own in the air with TAF) and thousands of that weapon and thousands of this weapons. Turkey has weapons coming out of her butts, and yet, they are looking at others to lead the way into Syria and not do it alone. I think this is a disgrace and very cowardly of Turkey not taking the initiative to act on their own if they believe even 10% of the rhetoric shit it's leaders are sprouting. Many always questioned Turkey's ability to fight a real war despite all the machoism from Turkey. In actuality, Turkey has shown itself to be a very scared and cowardly country and has no balls. Turkey in the last 90 years has been nothing but an opportunist and has been riding others coattails to achieve anything at all. I can see Turkey going down from here on, because they have shown to the world that they are all talk and no show. For God sake, even the ragtag YPG's and PKK are not afraid of Turkey.

As for this quote from the munchkin Davutoglu, it is so funny, because the Turks have been exploiting the Kurds for the last 90+ years. But that's OK, as long as others does not "exploit" them with a promise of their own state in the end.
What has Turks done for the Kurds in Turkey for the last 90+ years? That was a rhetorical question!

“In the face of all of these provocations, I’m calling on beyond Syria, beyond Iraq and everywhere. Nobody should attempt to exploit the Kurds. The Kurds’ state, patron and protector is the state of the Republic of Turkey.”

If Erdogan goes into Syria unilaterally because he is now seen as a big joke for a leader without balls and wants to prove something, his name will be changed to George Armstrong Custer II with his last stand at "Little Allepo"!

Im sure that if he does, he will be utterly convinced that the Americans will follow !! He will have a very long wait.

On the other hand he may just ...scare the Russians and do what General Plonker suggested, poo their pants

If you watched Hardtalk on BBC tonight with Stephen Sackur interviewing the spokeswoman for the Syrian Opposition, and I hope it will be on Youtube soon to be posted here, according to Stephen Sackur, the game is all but over for the opposition in Syria with Assad remaining and Russia dictating the outcome and the spokeswoman all but agreed with him. Once the Russians/Assad deal a blow to the opposition, give part of Syria to the PYD, then they will take on the ISIS and whomever else who might want to play hero by invading Syria illegally.

Are you joking.

The USA won't sign the Death Certificate of NATO. If they don't join in, then NATO members will be asking serious questions about the validity of Article 5.

The USA can say what it likes before something like that happens, but when it does happen is when actual reality kicks in.

Not only would they send troops if Turkey sends Ground Troops but they would do the same for Saudi Arabia.
