CF a real reflection of the Cyprus Dispute?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

CF a real reflection of the Cyprus Dispute?

Postby Viewpoint » Sat Feb 18, 2012 4:51 pm

The forum has gradually run out of steam just like the current talks, all has been said yet we are still in disagreement, more than ever in fact. We are further way from a solution than we have ever been and have not move forward one step that would show that both want or can live together. Agreed partition for land appears to be the only way forward which imo both sides should start to contemplate as we are two different people with two totally different paths only problem is we share the same island, its time everyone realized this, that unification will never materialize and that agreed partition is the only viable solution.

You should take your head out of it first.

So what exactly is that SUPER INCENTIVE for the Republic of Cyprus that would make them take your ridiculous “agreed partition” idea seriously? :?

Agree with VP....

CF is a microcosm of the CyProb... with a small number of people associated with the motherlands, like him/her doing all they can to stop any settlement other than their ideal preferred one, usually of the Partition or taksim/enosis (in full or in part or with any variation thereof) or even the preferred by many Unitary State.

In the case of VP of course, back-tracking from convergences, hiding from UN parameters, the UN Ressies etc and running down the clock on the strength of the TA with the hopeless aim of a Parting of the Ways or Divorce ( as he/she would call it). Well, it ain't happened in 50 years VP and as you never tire of reminding us... "nothing has changed"... to make your dream a reality.

CF is by no means a real reflection of the Cyprus Problem, because, except me and a few others, most people here are bloody foreigners!

I agree with Bill

Nothing has changed; No closer to the TCs giving in to the outragious demands of the GCs and that is your double edged sword Bill. You try to make VPs, and my, dream seem rediculous but make yours just as much so. The point is that the UN and the EU are realising that your dream time might be coming to an end.

I'm afraid VP is correct because on the one hand you've got "Turks" like VP that want to partition the island and the "Greeks" that wan't to turn it into a Greek island, both cheeks of the same a**e if you ask me.

Then there's us Cypriots.

It hasn't even occured to the Greek-wannabes that the reason the UN is pushing a quasi-unification in the form of BBF with political equality is because then the "Turks" can carry-on being Turks and the "Greeks" can carry on being Greeks, with the British sitting pretty whilst these two entities continue the deadlock.
