RoC Presidential Elections 2013

The RoC presidential elections are scheduled for February(?) 2013 so they’re not too far away!

So who do you think is the best candidate for the job? :?

Please note that the DIKO + EDEK + EUROKO coalition with Omirou at the helm offered above, is purely imaginary at this stage which I hope comes to pass to offer voters yet another alternative.

Regards, MP.

Maybe you should add the names of Erato Kozakou-Markoulli, Giorgos Lillikas and Michael Sarris.......they have been mentioned in the varius circles. that will make it a far more interesting poll.
And lets not forget Outopos who always shows up in the varius elections...

They don’t stand a chance as independents but feel free to click “other” and state your preferred independent applicant.

The only certain candidate is Anastasiades. I don't think Christofias will run again because even if he passes in the second round it will be difficult for any other party to support him and even more difficult to convince enough people from other parties to vote for Christofias again! Either AKEL will have another candidate or they will support somebody from DIKO or EDEK... the excuse that DIKO and EDEK are rejectionists is over now. Christofias was president for 4 years and there is no solution because of the Turks. So DIKO and EDEK were right all along!

NB: You can also click “other” and state an alternative coalition leader such as…

Nikolas Papadopoulos (DIKO + EDEK + EUROKO)

Nikos Papadopoulos or Kikapou are my choices.

Anastasiades, will sell us out to the Turks/Brits for his own egotistical reasons.
Omirou, probably too hardline
Christofias is finished all the same even if he does run again, so no worries there.

Erato-Markoullis would make a good candidate, at least she has more balls than the said blokes, it would be good to see a woman at the helm for once. Maybe those chauvanists will be brought down a peg or two.

8) 8) 8)

Erato-Markoullis would be a good choice for President, since she will also be able to conduct business with male politicians while all sharing the urinals standing up in the same toilet, much like Maggie Thatcher use to do when she was the UK's Prime Minister!

Too many "swing voters" perhaps, which means they will decide whom to vote for on the actual day of voting.

Markoullis yes, but not Nikolas Papadopoulos. I would prefer Karoyian or Omirou instead of him.
