At such times as you now experience Figgy, it is often regarded (in some cultures) as an appropriate opportunity to contemplate one's navel.

Am now even more bored after reading that.

Gawd... a desert island sounds very nice and warm... freezing here in London tonight... enough to freeze the wotsits off a brass monkey sort of cold.

Have to think of the desert island to warm up... ah that's better, bring me a refreshing cocktail Figgy, one with a cherry and a little umbrella.

Perhaps Figgy's comment coupled with your response Bill, might encourage a discussion on the misfortunes of the 'Homeless' of both nations?, I am sure that there are many unfortunates who are obliged to endure the rigours of winter without the small comfort of a roof over their heads.

One could (on the other hand), explore the virtues of 'Solitude' or even 'Solitary Confinement', both of which can be greatly beneficial to a troubled soul.

Or, 'Loneliness', altogether a different situation and one which should be considered with great sympathy, particularly when endured by the aged and infirm.

What do you think ?.

Why don't you invite them round you gaff for the night Bill, Mrs C can knock up some grub and you can make the cocktails with the cherry and umbrella?

I'm sure the sedatives will wear off soon and the mad-folks will be back again making wild preposterous claims, to everyone's amusement.
