On a serious note, this is something I would not expect from Cyprus.

It is pretty poor form that this man was arrested on charges for being a "public nuisance". Christofias is a public figure and as such it is expected that he will have his critics.

I believe this is a violation against freedom of speech and expression. I don't believe that the individual caused anyone any harm.

Yes P, this is more serious than this one incident of a citizen freely expressing a political opinion.

There have been others in recent weeks, including a teacher who is charged with making inappropriate hand gestures towards the Pres.!!! ... :shock:

The most worrying is the arrest of the son, last September, of the Naval Commander at Mari who died in the tragedy, accusing the son of indecent language towards the Pres.
