Good, but why do we use "ch" instead of "h"? Hristofias instead of Christofias!

ie: Charalambos instead of Haralambos

I mean, it's not like we call him Tsaralambos right?

Ahristofias it is then! Makes more sense!

mmm someone just knocked on my door! :?

Jesus Hrist ... !

It's all ok. False alarm.

It was just my hot Mistress! :D

Surely this should be tried as slander, in which case El Presidente would have to prove that he isn't an idiot, which would be difficult!

That was a very popular nick for him last time I was in Cyprus only a few months ago.

I remember, a few years ago, Piratis got very angry at me and he kept telling me "how dare you critisise the democratically elected President (Papadopoulos). None of you sensitive sods came to my help back then and I take it you condoned the attitude of Piratis. Show some consistency please.

Just because some of us didn't agree on your views on Tpap (i was actually quite critical of him at the time for the nepotism he was conducting despite my personal rejection of the Annan Plan) didn't mean they condoned Piratis's argument. Had I known how sensitive and upset you were that you had to argue with Piratis all by yourself I would have lend a hand for sure!

Not sure why you're making this comment now though? Most people manage to post without the requirement of a cheer-leading squad.

You are right but...
I guess its all related to the names Chris/Christ/Christina/Christofer... but does not translate/sound correctly in Greek.
In this case, using the "Ahristofias" term may not directly refer to the president.

On the same note, Marios Karoyan has the nickname "Karekloyan", also punishable by death in the ROC courts!
