Despite assurances from the Unofficial Muhktar Erroglu that the homophobic "laws" for "unnatural acts" in the Occupied Areas would be repealed following the Sarris Scandal last year, two more people have been arrested and charged under the hideous Section 171.

Oh and this is a bit of this rubbish "section 171" ... "Any person who (a) has carnal knowledge of any person against the order of nature, or (b) permits a male person to have carnal knowledge of him against the order of nature is guilty of a felony and is liable to imprisonment for....

...so lesbians are ok, and if a person has sex with an animal that's ok too; let's just say that the legislation is badly constructed.

The Illegal and Homophobic Conspiracy known by some as "trnc" and the Turkish Occupation Regime by others is being hauled before the ECHR again.

This time for its outdated laws against what it calls "unnatural acts" (!).

The case is being brought by the Human Dignity Trust and is supported by the "northern" Cyprus LGBTI organisation, the Homofobiye Karsi Inisiyatif (Initiative Against Homophobia).

I think before the RoC can criticise the "trnc" for its homophobia it needs to look at its own values system on this matter.

I do not understand why in this day and age we have to discuss people's sex lives in a legislative capacity.

Well I wouldn't have liked to have lived in an army barrack room along with a homosexual.
