are we witnessing a soft assimilation with greece?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

There is no way that assimilation of anyone will be acceptable to the rest of the European Union. Thank God for that I say. A great number of RoC citizens will also reject such a a notion. We no longer feel like second cousins to greece. And as we get richerso does the Cypriot eyoismos. ;)

But on another tangent what could be a likely legal action that the RoC will take out to prohibit TC and Turkish drilling off the Famagusta coast?

Who on earth would want to be "assimilated" into the tin pot nation?

No one in the diaspora "shirks" the CNG. At least I don't and being a conscript should be easy peasy compared to ADF, I would imagine. It is just not possible for some as you know, particularly for those born overseas. But if you feel so strongly about serving as I do, then why did you not volunteer all these years, but abandon your "country" of birth instead, for the "imperialist" UK?

Fact is, I am a citizen, and you can't diminish that or the loyalties I have for Cyprus (not Greece), and I would serve the CNG with pride any day and twice on Sunday. I am not the kind of person that views the CNG as an imposition like you and joe do!
