and the gem of the day came from GIG...we are ridiculing our ally...go figure...has it ever occur to you the reason cyprus was allowed to join is to keep the turks out?...and nothing to do with greece?...and greece wasn't even told due to her insignifigance?...we all know why greece would have liked turkey to join...they thought the aegean will be sorted out in her favour and nothing to do with cyprus...but instead even with turkish candidancy they still get their skies raped by the turks...

Yes GR may be ridiculling your ally but he is not denigrating Cyprus and the Cypriots as some here appear to be trying to do. The people who are to blame for the situation Cyprus finds itself in today are the Enosis lovers like you, who totally failed to understand back in 1973/4 that Turkey was never going to allow total Greek domination of Cyprus and that from 1955 onwards invasion and partition was always likely in the event that anybody tried to implement Enosis. Greece thoroughly violated its obligations as a guarantor with the events of 15th July 1974,

The people who are to blame are the British and the Turks because Cyprus is not their island and they use crimes to force what they want in Cyprus. This is our island so we do what we want with it. Since when is this a crime?
