I’d be interested to know how/when those who claim to be this “Greek/Hellenic” variant that Sotos is on about, came to be this way…

Did it happen during the years 500AD and 1453 when the territories of modern Greece, Cyprus, and Turkey were under the Eastern Roman Empire?

Did it happen during the years 1458 and 1828 when the territory of modern Greece was under Ottoman occupation and Greece did not exist?

Did it happen during the years 1571 and 1878 when Cyprus was under Ottoman occupation and Greece mostly did not exist?

Did it happen during the years 1878 and 1960 when Cyprus was under British occupation?

Did it happen during the years 1960 and 2012 when you were born in Greece?
