Cyprus must be one of the only countries on earth whose rightful citizens demean themselves by aligning themselves to foreign counties.

Those who claim that they are "Greek" fall straight into the hands of the British and the Turks. Greece no longer factors in the future of Cyprus.

The colonial forces that have shaped our country in recent history are happy because they have pigeon-hold us as Greek and Turk.

That is because the word GREEK goes bofore the word ORTHODOX.
You either say Greek Orthodoc Church of.... or simply Church of....

That’s because the current liturgical language used is Greek, and has nothing to do with Greece or Greeks being involved with the Church of Cyprus, now or in the past. The official Christian family under which the Church of Cyprus belongs is the Eastern Orthodox Church (not "Greek Orthodox") which once again has nothing to do with Greece or Greeks.

For your info both gnosis and religion arrived into Europe including Greece, from Cyprus; a much older civilization indeed part of the cradle of civilization, and just a stone’s throw away from the Holy Land, thanks to the Cypriot Apostle Barnabas.
