The Church of Crete IS NOT autocephalous but self-governing - huge difference.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Orthodox_Church

Hierarchically, the ancient Church of Cyprus is at the same level as Ecumenical Patriarchate and the recently formed Church of Greece.

You might be right about the Church of Crete. I will come back on it. You are wrong about the Church of Cyprus. How can an Archdiocese be at the same level with the Ecumenical Patriarchate or any other Patriarchate?
How can an Archbishop be at the same level with the Ecumenical Patriarch and the other Patriarchs (Alexandria-Antioch-Jerusalem etc)? You are confusing hierarchy with administration.

Those who have invented this man-made politically inspired rubbish can come and suck my Cypriot balls to get over it…

Isn't it a bit too early to be on the bottle already?
Unless, of course you are in Australia with Paphitis.

The Greek-wannabe pipes-up.

As the saying goes, ignorance is bliss.

Why would I 'wannabe' Greek?

From your tone, it seems you believe this is an aspirational ideal ... Fine!

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wannabe

A wannabe (slang for "want to be") is a person with an ambition to be someone or something that she/he is not. The term is pejorative and intends to convey the foolish nature of the desire due to the incompetence of the "wannabe" to accomplish the goal.

And what are those who were born in Rodos?

Evidently, your ignorance does not allow you to distinguish between Greece as a geographical place and Greece as culture, history, tradition, common language, common descent etc.

No you're confusing the staff with the institution. The Ecumenical Patriarch is know as the first amongst equals. The reason why the Church of Rome was excommunicated is because the bishop of Rome thought that he had a God-given right to rule over all the autocephalous churches.

I know what a 'wannabe' is, without your wannabe-intelligent elaborate definitions on its wannabe pejorative usage.

However, what you, without any wannabe-ing, have revealed is that in your mind, being "Greek" is an aspirational ideal (which someone like me, who niggles your self-worth, could only aspire to be - or wannabe). Hence my asserting 'fine' to that!

No.

If I decided I wanted to aspire to be Italian and started talking Italian and waving the Italian flag, it still remains that I am not and never will be Italian. Therefore I would be an Italian-wannabe.

I do however question the self-worth of Cypriots who identify themselves as something they are not - Greek-wannabes as a result of brainwashing.

So according to you, being 'Greek' is only the result of brainwashing. Whereas your being a 'Cypriot' is a result of your DNA (going back to your "look into your DNA" principle) and lack of brainwashing to a 'wannabe' status.

Thank you for explaining to me how I am not in fact Greek. Does this now involve a change in my DNA or not?

Perhaps also elaborate on how some 200,000 Anatolian Settlers can now rightfully call themselves "Cypriot", according to your logic of only having some transitory attachment to Cyprus (if it was not contradicted by your unfounded, racist, DNA belief).

A confused Cypriot? 'Appeasement' to Turkey springs to mind ...

The anatolian settlers are another issue altogether.

The DNA record is a matter of scientific proof, where as your Greek-delusion is a systematic conspiracy of brainwashing over several generations.

I can understand how, for someone in denial as yourself, can find it uncomfortable that your DNA has more in common with Turkish Cypriots that it does with the Hellenic people.

Please explain, to me who is supposed to be "in denial, how I (must) have been brainwashed into believing my DNA is as near identical to any Turk, Mongolian, Nigerian, Chinese, Greek, Mexican etc as is humanly possible to be; whereas you, some wannabe-geneticist, has scientific proof that your wannabe-Cypriot race is completely unique in not being like anyone else of the Human Race but instead forms some unique race along with "Turkish Cypriots".

(Oh, and to save you time; if you are going to tell me some specifically selected, environmentally acquired mutation which occurs at a higher frequency in Cyprus due to the indigenous mosquitoes, and represents some 12% of hemophiliac GCs and 6% of TCs - don't bother. It doesn't do what is says on the packet.)

Further - you cannot pick and choose whom your principles apply to. Hitler did that. To dismiss "the anatolian settlers as another issue altogether" is worrisome if you are going to start applying such eugenic principles to 'Cypriots' - Because, some of the Anatolians will have the same type of hemophilia - so now what? Eventually, it will be eradicated. So will that be the end of "Cypriots"?
