The only human species which I know of to deny or try to hide their ethnicity and try to invent some other ethnic identity for themselves are the "Neocypriot" wannabes.

Ethnicity is man-made Kimon, so just because junta-driven teachers at school told you that you were part of a "bigger" group from afar doesn't mean that it is true!

If you were born/bred in Cyprus you are Cypriot full stop and those born/bred in Greece are Greeks full stop! Nothing could be simpler and it is the exact same rule applied worldwide.

They screwed with your mind by getting hold of you at a very young age when the mind is like a sponge.

I pity you...

1. There was no junta either in Cyprus or in Greece while I was attending school 1954-1966. And all my teachers were GREEK Cypriots.
2. I was born/bred a GREEK Cypriot by my parents and grand parents bless them and their souls. Period.
3. Better pity yourself for not having the guts to admit what you are, for not belonging and for being a Neocypriot "Paphetic" wannabe.

2) Research the position of the Church of Cyprus in the Orthodox Church.
3) present yourself as from Cyprus when in Greece.

You will realise some truths that will be uncomfortable to you Greek-wannabes.

So Kimon, tell us how you would differentiate between the Cypriot words for a bird (bouli) and a stamp (pouli)?

"to Poullin" for bird and "to ppoulli" for stamp.

Now, you tell me how you would write in latin characters the cypriot verb "πουμπουρίζει"? I would write "poumbourizi" and "poumbourka". Epoumbourisa sou tora (τωρά) mian poumbourkan mialin nomizo.

Double "p" eh? But why not use your brain by taking advantage of the English language's "b" and "p"???
