I will remind them of the 350 Greek raiders of the 1st Parachute Unit ( A Moira Alexiptotiston) who were flown into the Nicosia airport from Crete ("Operation NIKI") and defended the airport repelling the attacks of a turkish brigade).

thanks. and please remind the world wot the 300 spartans did too, so u can live off former glories while 2012 greece goes bankrupt and 2012 athens burns.

My point is whether you can mock these men and their legend. Can you mock the highlanders for wearing a kilt?
As for the present situation of Greece. Greece is grateful, I am sure, for your kind concern and your distress. But be sure that Greece and all Hellens will survive and prevail. As always. Don't forget. At the peak of Greek Tragedies comes "KATHARSIS". It is usually violent and bloody. But effective. And it restores the "ethical order". And Katharsis is due to come soon.

and fuck me does greece need it. are ajax / demostos greek words 'cos their gonna need some heavy duty stuff.

Sotos
It has to do because they were my ancestors. The language passed from parents to children from that day until today. How else would Greek be my first language then?

Re Soto. If I follow this line of thought I can only conclude that Australians are not really Australians but British because some 300 years ago they were all British convicts taken to the land for punishment.

The modern thinking suggests one possibility is a conquest event leading to change in langage caused by a elistist cultural ascendancy, probably cemented by the Macedonian invasion in about 300 BC or so. -

You're just jealous of that protester because he is young, fit and in shape while you on the other hand are a decrepit old fart whose only excitement consists of posting in this forum.
