How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Anyone who wants enosis with Greece should be locked up and the key thrown away for their sake. Of course, euthanasia should also be an option.

Are you able to tell the difference between a discussion on the facts of the past and your, random, present day opinions?

He is not interested in debating on facts. All he does, time and again, is to be repeating his own anti Greek propaganda. And as you may see, he and the other graicyloi of his team are redirecting topics which they can not debate to other irrelevant issues. Pathetic.

No doubt. And the aim of Britain to snatch the reaches of the cypriot EEZ through some Annan Plan is also "realpolitic".

But this is not the subject of this topic. This topic was started as an answer to the accusations that the only think EOKA did was to shoot english military in the Back which you keep repeating every now and then. And an answer to the claims of Bananiot that EOKA was finished in 1957 because "it had lost the support of the people" (meaning the treasonous AKEL).

One again, it is all too easy to write such nonsense bereft of common sense.

........It may have been an important strategic island in the 50s but it's status as such is diminished in today's reality .......

What a genius. And I suppose that the strategic importance of Cyprus diminished now that the island may soon become the major provider of energy to the EU? And now that the Mid East is in general turmoil once again and Israel looks upon an axis with Cyprus and Greece as the best way to safeguard it's interests?

We were talking about Cyprus being a militarily important strategic post which is much diminished in this day and age when the powers that be have bases all over the Middles East and Turkey, not to mention Diego Garcia.

If natural resources are a measure of strategic importance, then there are dozens of countries that are far more important than Cyprus. And another thing, Cyprus will not be the major supplier of gas. Russia will outstrip Cyprus many Times and then you have the North Sea reserves!

Once again Kimon, stick to the facts rather than react emotionally by posting incorrect nonsense!

You can do better than that Kimon.

Posting rubbish from the Defence Greece blog stating that Cyprus will be Europe's main Gas supplier doesn't make it so in the real world!

Nor does it increase Cyprus' strategic importance when the main event is in the Gulf!

We all know from official sources that Cyprus was to be granted self determination eventually even without EOKA!

Kimon, you need to stick to the facts and keep the exaggerations, half truths and lies to yourself. Whenever you don't do this then there will always be someone that will take issue with your posts or arguments!

I’ve been serving this forum with credible evidence from credible sources (where necessary) for over 5 years now!

Whereas all you’ve ever managed in your little time here is the “Greek defense” blog and some online frappe coffee shop run by Greeks! :)

In all honesty, fools like you make me look good even though I do nothing that any other normal person cannot. It’s called research and you should try it sometimes…

You lost most credibility when you started posting fyrom blogs. Those antics of yours attracted the 'pirates' and 'spies' who have taken your views to such extremes, and heights of carnivalesque lunacy, that they help complete your demise. Each time they clumsily echo aspects of your views (like Lyrebirds) they chip away at any signs of a recovery of your former rhetorical status.

I am not "echoing" anyone else's views at all, and I am certain there are many aspects or things that I and Get Real will disagree and argue over which is fine as long as all arguments are based on valid research and common sense! Quoting Fyrom blogs will probably be one instance where this will be the case.

I have come to understand or realize that the lot of you are full of shit. Not only that, but you and the likes of Kurupettos, Yialousa, joe et al not only do Cyprus much harm with your lunatic ramblings of ENOSIS, as well as other racist remarks against others not just Turks, but you all do Greece great harm as well. Any rational educated Greek will most certainly take issue with your silly meanderings!

It is a crying shame that on this forum we have lunatic "Cypriots" that are eager to spread their message of racism, and you know what I am talking about! Racism against 'Negroes', Jews and I won't mention Turks in this at all because I know what you will say about that. As far as I know and understand is that Cypriots are a humble non racist lot, but certain elements here make us look like we are something worse than the KKK with irrational and stupid remarks against certain races of people. And that is a cardinal sin!

This is the stuff that was encountered in places like the US and Australia 50 years ago, and you lot are quick to criticise this, rightfully so I may add, but then you all compromise yourselves by displaying the Mississippi Burning mentality!

I am doing Cyprus a favour, but that's not all. By bringing you lot down a peg or 2, I will be doing Greece a favour as well!

You all should be ashamed of yourselves and you are suppose to be an educated person.
