Iraq PM confirms receiving ‘signed’ US pullout letter - By Press TV
January 07, 2020 "Information Clearing House" - Amid confusion over a reported US letter to Iraq announcing the steps its military would take to move out of Iraq, Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi confirms that Baghdad has actually received "signed and translated" copies from the US Army concerning the withdrawal.
In a televised cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Abdul Mahdi clearly refuted all US claims that the letter had been sent by mistake or it had been inauthentic.

Axis Of Resistance Announces How How It Will Avenge Qassem Soleimani - By Moon Of Alabama
January 07, 2020 "Information Clearing House" - The media continue to tell fairytales about Qassem Soleimani and about Trump's decision to assassinate him and PMU leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis. Meanwhile the Resistance Axis announced how it will avenge their deaths.
In their descriptions of Qassem Soleimani U.S. media fail to mention that Soleimani and the U.S. fought on the same side. In 2001 Iran supported the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan. It used its good relations with the Hazara Militia and the anti-Taliban Northern Alliance, which both the CIA and Iran had supplied for years, to support the U.S. operation. The Wikipedia entry for the 2001 uprising in Herat lists U.S. General Tommy Franks and General Qassem Soleimani as allied commanders.

Europe Cravenly Appeases Trump - By Finian Cunningham
January 07, 2020 "Information Clearing House" - If the United States and Iran do go to war, it will be in no small part due to the cowardly appeasement of European powers in the face of American criminality.
Many commentators, including legal experts, have condemned the assassination of the Iranian military commander General Qasem Soleimani at Baghdad airport last week. It was brutal, cold-blooded murder carried out on the orders of US President Donald Trump.
To kill a senior official of a foreign state in such a dastardly way is an act of war and a war crime.
More especially because it has since emerged that Soleimani was on a diplomatic peace mission when he arrived at the airport, according to Iraqi prime minister Adel Abdul Mahdi. The Iraqi leader says Soleimani was engaged in efforts to tamp down regional tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran. What’s more, the Americans knew of this peace overture and apparently encouraged it. Then they turned around and murdered Soleimani.

Trump Administration Blocks Iran’s Top Diplomat From Addressing the U.N. Security Council - By Robbie Gramer
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif had sought to give a speech condemning the U.S. assassination of Qassem Suleimani.
January 07, 2020 "Information Clearing House" - The Trump administration is barring Iran’s top diplomat from entering the United States this week to address the United Nations Security Council about the U.S. assassination of Iran’s top military official in Baghdad, violating the terms of a 1947 headquarters agreement requiring Washington to permit foreign officials into the country to conduct U.N. business, according to three diplomatic sources.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif requested a visa a “few weeks ago” to enter the United States to attend a Jan. 9 Security Council meeting on the importance of upholding the U.N. Charter, according to a diplomatic source familiar with the matter. The Thursday meeting was to provide Tehran’s top diplomat with his first opportunity to directly address the world community since U.S. President Donald Trump ordered the Jan. 3 drone strike that killed Maj. Gen. Qassem Suleimani, a top Iraqi militia leader, among others.
The Iranian government was awaiting word on the visa Monday when a Trump administration official phoned U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres to inform him that the United States would not allow Zarif into the country, according to the Washington-based diplomatic source.

Why on earth would they grant Iranian Diplomats a VISA to the USA.
We don't allow them in Australia either. We have strict embargoes on Iran.
They harass our ships which is even worse then some random guy who has a misdemeanor as they are also refused a VISA.

I was under the impression that anyone coming to the USA for the purpose of UN affairs are given visas automatically, providing they comply with their travel restriction within the USA, should they have that imposed on them.

Every country in the world is free to not grant diplomats or leaders from other countries a VISA.
I remember Australia was close to not granting Pootin a VISA to come to Australia.

I am not talking about any other country and their visa policies. I am talking about the USA only because the UN is based there for any country wanting to come and address the assembly.
