And obviously if in 1980 the British still didn't want to give full self-determination to Cyprus then we should have waited until 2000 and so on and so forth. In other words never fight for our freedom because seeking our freedom would piss off the Colonialists who would then punish us. Better to just kiss their ass and remain colonial subjects for as long as the British want.

Sorry Paphitis, but most of us have a thing called dignity, and dignity is more important than anything else. I am sure the British would love it if all their subjects were as obedient as you are. But I'd rather die fighting than live as their slave.

Piratis, there is no question in my mind that Britain would have granted self determination well before 1980. Why would they keep it? For what purpose? They would keep Cyprus if that is what the inhabitants wanted just like in the Falklands.

There is no reason to keep all of Cyprus when in actual fact they just need an Airport, or a couple of military installations.

What are you now? 200,000 people can't go back to their homes and you are talking to me about being a slave to Britain? Are you for real? Sorry Piratis, but I certainly don't think the Brits are so bad. They certainly are not as bad as the Turks, and I am certain that they did not treat you as a slave.

Greek teachers may have told you that you were a slave but the actual fact is that they did not and they more or less left the islanders to their own devices until Hellenic fever took hold of course!

For you dignity means to kiss English ass ;) When did you leave from Cyprus? When the English left you went to another country ruled by the English to continue kissing their ass there?

wow, for a moment i forgot i was dealing with a super power... ...this super power mentality left you without dignity and having to pick up the pieces where greece left off...with your super power tiny little greek donate BB gun in negotiating an apartheid system called BBF...and you are too stupid to even realise this is partition and you lost 1/3 of the island...

you are even more stupid to realise who brought us here in the first place when
1...from 63-74 onwards the roc was run by us - no tcs in government...virtually do as pleased...FACT
2...why would then the roc push for enosis when the roc had it all - because greece and turkey, the constipated nations they are, conspired to half the island...FACT

in every unbiased article, biased to simpletons and i'm not the one mentioning names, such as your self, the situation is described as a greek inspired coup followed by the turkish invasion...if this was not the case why then greece doesn't come clean and show the world this was not the case...because they, greece, along with the turks, having the same documents, are guilty as charged...end of story...

@piratis the balance of power ain't coming as far as i can see it, coz for starters the europeans will not just be shooting both of their feet off but blowing them off to smithereens...see if you can understand what i am trying to say here buddy...

you lost 1/3 of the island

I see that you finally came to terms that you are a foreigner. It din't take me long to eliminate any false ideas that you had ;)

why would then the roc push for enosis when the roc had it all

It didn't  There was a coup supported by Junta and the Junta was supported by CIA not RoC and not the Greeks or Cypriots with the exception of traitors who were jailed for their treason.

ok now i see the problem...reality is not a your strongest point?...hello we are negotiating for a BBF, this in itself is partition, the legal way...

and as per usual pick and chose...this double enosis was brewing well before the junta came to power...the junta just executed it...do i hear you want proof on this?...the mere factor greece is not opening her cyprus file in order to discredit myths means there is something to hide...but in all honesty how could i expect a simpleton that graduated from the greek madrasa to understand all this...

now be a little good boy and prove to me hat it was the junta the initiated the whole thing...
now prove to me the junta leaders were jailed because of the cyprus fiasco and not because they screwed greece...
