Is an honest public debate too much to ask?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Then you should be happy (maybe ) that I'm keeping this article on the top page, so why are you getting aggetated for.

What I don't get is, why was the name "Patrick" added to the article that you posted and that "Patrick" never appeared on the original article in the Cyprus Mail. The ONLY Patrick I can find that writes for CM is Patrick Dewhurst, but there are no records of him writing this article. However, by someone using "Patrick Dewhurst's" name, or at least half his name with the intent to make the readers believe it is in fact Patrick Dewhurst himself who wrote the article to perhaps give the article some kind of legitimacy and accountability, has opened themselves up for doubts as to if this article is indeed the views of CM or just a anonymous letter published by CM from an unknown source written by any Tom, Dick and Mary who may have a political agenda. The fact that both you and VP are reacting very defensively about my questions on this, it only raises more questions!

Get in touch with CM and ask Colombo. I have told you that it was emails ed to me by a friend named Patrick and I mistakenly copied his name in my copy and paste. Now, if it is by Patrick Dewhurst, and it really doesnt matter who wrote it to me because even if it were a complete nobody like me on CF, it deserves to be read and commented on as an article. If Hitler came back to life it is the content that matters. It is clear that the content matters because you are skirting round it best you can without addressing a single issue. It is a tactic used by most of the GCs here to which you have become accustomed to also but you are a complete novice at it and that is why VP and I are reacting to you so defensively. We know the tactic and it usually is accompanied by swamping the entire thread. Avoid the question at all costs ey Kikapu............Every one has a political agenda and if you are TRYING to exclude yourself from that then you are a bigger idiot than I thought. IF you do not exclude yourself from that then make the statement and we can ignore everything you say.............As if we dont anyway

I'm sorry Zan, but if something doesn't make sense, it's usually not true.

No one receive an email from anyone of an article and have a "By Patrick" by their name for you to mistakenly copy & paste it unless the article was indeed written by Patrick himself. Had it just been the name "Patrick" at the bottom of the email by signing off the email, then that would make more sense when you say that you mistakenly copy and pasted, even though, I still don't know how the name "Patrick" would make it to the top of the article just under the title and the date with a "By" in front of it? If the article was written by Patrick Dewhurst, then so be it, but then why doesn't his name appear in the original article by CM?

As for the article itself, there's nothing to comment on. It is the view of an "anonymous" writer with no credibility for the article being factual, but ONLY a hearsay!

Kiks, No point arguing with these 2 clowns, clearly you have them rattled and gotten under their skins. You can tell by the abuse that both VP and Zan are throwing at you. keep the faith and don't let these facists, racist partitionist get to you. Averyone knows what you are saying.

Deception is the tool of these scumbags, they have done it before and they will keep on doing it, take care.

Does this constitute honest public debate?

People like you and your friends have destroyed Cyprus.

Rubbish, the Turks have destroyed Cyprus, period. Not to mention the few traitors on here either.

You use the word 'Honest', the turk does not know the meaning of this word.

Cheers, now sod off.

Do I look like Zan and VP are getting to me?

I know, when these lot are up to no good and are exposed, then they start throwing abuses around to try and take cover for protection.

Now, that's what I call being deluded by them, if they think that cheap trick will work for them!

Well, we don't know who this "one person's view" is exactly, Zan, but you seem to in a roundabout way said it is Patrick Dewhurst, and the fact that you had his name, (Patrick) on the article that you posted, and also claiming that you have a friend by the name of Patrick who sent you this article via email, then there is the same article in CM without an authors name, and at the same time, there is a writer at the CM by the name Patrick Dewhurst. There is just too much going on here to be left ONLY for coincidences that "poor" Patrick Dewhurst is not involved with this article at all or that Patrick Dewhurst is not the same Patrick friend you have whom he has sent you the article. The question then I have is, why would Patrick Dewhurst wants to remain anonymous about writing this article, and had you not put the name Patrick on the same article that you posted, perhaps we would have never known who the author was what so ever, but now we have a clue!

One last time Kiks, I too had no idea who the author was and the Patrick I know is not the author. Still dont know what it has got to do with it anyway but you can ask the CM easily and I am sure they would tell you. If they dont then suspect them. If they do then then you would have made a fuss for nothing. I met MY patrick at a fund raising event for Embargoed and his surname is not that of the author you think wrote the article. If it was he then I would possibly have boasted I knew the guy, instead an ordinary guy named patrick has recieved a hell of a lot of airtime because he is called Patrick and has an unusual way of signing off. If you are trying to discredit the author by associating him with me then again........Look at what he writes and comment because the name has no barring on the matter.

Best way to deflect from the real subject play the name game.
