Yeah, lets go back to a sylabic script. Then we can start living in tiny round houses. When we will become 150cm tall our devolution would be complete :o

And what version of Cypriot language would that be? The language of Nicosia, Limassol, Paphos or your village? ;) Now I think about it forget about the Cyprus language. We will have a Limassol language and all the rest of you foreigners can go to hell

nop ... it is devolution when we are talking about biological things. But I guess that will not affect as you are already 150cm ;)

And how do the round houses fit into your devolution theory... do you expect to eventually become flat like a pancake?

The devolution was for the last sentence only ... but I wouldn't say no to pancakes!

The Ancient Greeks made pancakes called τηγανίτης (tēganitēs), ταγηνίτης (tagēnitēs)[4] or ταγηνίας (tagēnias),[5] all words deriving from τάγηνον (tagēnon), "frying pan".[6] The earliest attested references on tagenias are in the works of the 5th century BC poets Cratinus[7] and Magnes.[8] Tagenites were made with wheat flour, olive oil, honey and curdled milk, and were served for breakfast.[9][10][11] Another kind of pancake was σταιτίτης (staititēs), from σταίτινος (staitinos), "of flour or dough of spelt",[12] derived from σταῖς (stais), "flour of spelt".[13] Athenaeus is his Deipnosophistae mention staititas topped with honey, sesame and cheese.[14][15][16]

put you thinking caps on and see what kind of letters we can introduce...just to piss the greeks in this forum...

Now trouble-makers might suggest ditching the greek alphabet and using what believe is called the Latin one.

26 is better than 24... isn't it???

I would just like to point out that the Greek Alphabet (and indeed the latin Alphabet's) nearest living relative is probably the Modern Hebrew Alphabet.

But, boomerang. According to GR the (Greek) Alphabet we use today derived from the ancient Cyprus Alphabet. Didn't you read GRs relevant "revelation" in the thread "Greek Please"?. Here is the link he posted.
